Skyline Racing is the only Formula Student Team from East India involved in the manufacturing of Formula Student Electric cars and Electric All-Terrain Vehicles with the sole focus of competing with the world's best in the Formula Student and BAJA competitions held across the Globe. It is a student-run, non-profit racing team from Kalinga Institute of Industrial Technology, Bhubaneswar, Odisha.
We are a team of 50+ promising undergraduate Engineers from various domains of Engineering who conceptualize, design, and build their dream race car with only one aim of seeing it racing on the track.
Our goal is to not just build cars that run fast but also meets the industrial safety standards. To serve the purpose 100s of hours of R&D and months of the repetitive and recursive design process is undertaken.
As Baba Ranchordas once said- "Don't run after success, run after excellence, success will jump and run after you".
This is the driving motto for the entire team. It was this motto that led our team to become the Formula Green-2019 champions. But this is not the end we still have a long way to go.
To build a Formula Student car which is capable of giving a tough competition in the Internation Stage and put India in the map of leading Formula Student teams. Being the only team from Eastern India to be working on High-End Electric Vehicles, we aim to put Odisha on the map of growing EV Industry.
" WE DON'T JUST BUILD CARS, WE DEFINE THE VISION CHANGING THE WORLD WITH OUR PASSION "

FORMULA
STUDENT
Formula Student (FS) is Europe's most established educational engineering competition and celebrated its 20th anniversary in 2018. Backed by industry and high-profile engineers such Patron, Ross Brawn OBE, the competition aims to develop enterprising and innovative young engineers and encourage more young people to take up a career in engineering.
Each year, Formula Student sees over 100 university teams from around the globe travel to Silverstone to compete in static and dynamic events that will test their preparation and hard work.
FORMULA
BHARAT
Formula Bharat is an engineering design competition in which students from colleges and universities all over the country, compete with a life-size Formula-style vehicle in areas of engineering design, overall cost, marketability and dynamic performance. The series replicates the global student Formula series hosted in around 11 countries per year.
The purpose of this competition is to encourage students to gain hands-on practical experience, while applying engineering theories studied in the classroom. In addition, students learn the art of management and teamwork, which are essential skills required in the ‘real-world’. These student teams are required to build a new vehicle from scratch year-after-year and seek sponsorship and donations by their own means to fund the project.
FORMULA
GREEN
Formula Green - Discovering The Future, is a Design Challenge initiated by Indian Society of New Era Engineers to enhance the student's approach in engineering and diploma pursuing students. The team at ISNEE felt that this design challenge is the need of the hour considering the present climatic conditions of the world where our eco system is perishing very brisk fully. The main intention of this competition is to design and fabricate a formula vehicle which runs on electric power bound to some specific rules and regulations.
BAJA
SAEINDIA
The BAJA SAE Series® is an event for the undergraduate engineering students, organized globally by the Society of Automotive Engineers, USA. The event originated in the name of Mini - BAJA, in the year 1976 at University of Carolina. Since then, the event has spanned across six countries – USA, Mexico, South Africa, Korea, Brazil and India. The BAJA SAE tasks the students to design, fabricate and validate a single seater four - wheeled off road vehicle to take part in series of events spread over a course of 3 days that test the vehicle for the sound engineering practices that have gone into it, the agility of the vehicle in terms of gradability, speed, acceleration and manoeuvrability characteristics and finally its ability to endure that back breaking durability test.
